     Labeled "Best in the West" by Lacrosse Magazine, Cal Lacrosse is a student run sports club at the University of California, Berkeley. We are a member of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League and its 1994, 1995 and 1998 Champions. Cal is also a USILA Associate and the 1998 USILA National Champion. Our home field is Kleeberger field, which is located just west of campus on Piedmont Avenue. Interested players of all skill levels are welcome and should refer to the contacts below. Cal is coached by Joe Proud, Dan Self and Tommy Coyne. Captains for the 1998 season are Justin Collins, Alex Mast and Fred Sanchez.

    Here is another article about Cal's championship victory in The Daily Californian. The Oakland Tribune also ran a small article in their May 5th issue.

    The USILA Tournament All-Stars from Cal were Justin Collins, Fred Sanchez, Steve Dirkes, Nick Wilsey, Kevin Moon, Chris Moon, Alex Mast, Ned Topham, J.P. Harbour, Justin Stephens, Robbie Warner and Jake Zim. Al Mast was the tournament offensive MVP as well.

    Here is an article about Cal in the Daily Californian. (They have several inaccurate details, but at least made the effort.)

    Jake Zim finished the season as the league assist leader and Al Mast, J.P. Harbour and Justin Stephens all were among the top point leaders in the final league stats.
