Cal Lax-a-thon
The 1998 Cal Lax-a-thon is over!
What it was: 1 ball. 2 sticks. 100 hours. Two Cal players played
catch for 100 consecutive hours on the Cal Berkeley campus. This was a
fundraising event which will help the team get to the national championship
tournament in St. Louis.
When it was: Tuesday, Marth 31st @ 6:00PM to Saturday,
April 4th @ 10:00PM
Where it was:
The Lax-A-Thon was held on campus next to the Campanile and Sproul Hall
on the Telegraph Avenue side.
How it went:
The Lax-A-Thon went well and Cal players completed the 100 hours of playing
catch. We braved the worst of El Nino all hours of the day, but
managed to gain exposure, raise money and improve our stick skills.
Thanks to everyone who pledged money and visited us on campus.
