Bears Top MCLA Scholar-Athlete Honors

Berkeley, California -

The MCLA Scholar Athletes in Division I have been released and 161 student-athletes have earned the honor for the 2022 season. Trailing only one other MCLA program, eleven Golden Bears earned this prestigiuous recognition. 

To earn Scholar Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must make one of his all-conference teams while also maintaining a cumulative 3.2 grade point average.

The Bears who achieved "on and off the field" this past spring were:

• Ryan McAvoy- Defense, Granite Bay, CA
• Finnian Meagher- Defense, Baltimore, MD
• Jake Pistotnik- Attack, Calabasas, CA
• Jack Ronan- Midfield, Danville, CA
• Ty Wolber- Faceoff Specialist, Granite Bay, CA
• Conor Zachar- Midfield, Crested Butte, CO
