Career Workshop + Alumni Lax Game

The California Lacrosse Foundation hosted a Career Workshop on Saturday, January 24 at the Alumni House on campus, bringing together Cal Lacrosse alumni and the Men’s Lacrosse team for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and career exploration.
The workshop was designed as a two-part experience that balanced broad exposure with deeper engagement.
In the first session, alumni hosted industry-specific roundtables where players rotated every 10 minutes, gaining fast-paced insight into a wide range of career paths. Alumni shared what they do, how they got there, and what early career decisions mattered most.
Industries represented included Engineering, Legal, Tech, Product Management, Finance, Real Estate, Banking, Hospitality, and Public Service.
After sampling multiple industries, players returned to the area that sparked their interest for a more focused Q&A and deeper discussion.
To cap off the day, alumni and players reconvened at Maxwell Family Field for the annual Golden vs. Olden Bears alumni lacrosse game, a fitting close that celebrated both tradition and community.
Thank you to the alumni who generously shared their time and experience, and to the student-athletes who showed up curious, engaged, and ready to learn. If you’d like to get involved in future workshops or mentorship opportunities, we’d love to hear from you, please sign up or reach out.
