Lubetsky Honored with 2026 Sciutto #4 Jersey

BERKELEY, CA

The Cal Men's Lacrosse program is proud to announce that Doug Sciutto's #4 will be worn during the 2026 season by senior, Davis Lubetsky (Defense, Miami, FL).

More consistently than any other Golden Bear during his tenure, Davis has embodied Sciutto's qualities of courage, commitment and selflessness. A marine biology major and three-time Cal Lacrosse Spirit Award winner, Davis's work ethic has been relentless. He has dedicated himself on the field- rarely missing a practice- as well as off the field, in the weight room and the film room.

In addition to the aforementioned, Davis routinely demonstrates genuine kindness, thoughtfulness and empathy for his teammates. From freshmen to graduate students, Davis values each member of the team and is a first to welcome new members and make them feel at home.

Every player, parent, alumnus and fan of this program, should be overjoyed and incredibly proud that the 2026 Golden Bears are led by such an upstanding member of our community and ambassador of our historic program.

Davis will continue his education in the fall as he pursues a master's degree in marine biology. He has been accepted to several programs already, including Columbia University's #2 ranked program.

Fun fact: Of the eleven recipients of the Sciutto #4 Memorial Jersey, eight have been defenseman, which perhaps makes sense since Doug was a decorated long-stick midfielder.
